Overview

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic Medicines Optimisation Pharmacy Technician to join the Harrow Pharmacy team at Central & North West London NHS Foundation Trust, based in Park Royal.

The post offers an excellent opportunity to develop your clinical and professional knowledge and skills in both physical and mental healthcare services, working in both inpatient and community mental health team settings.

Responsibilities
  • Provide medicines technical support for mental health services to sites such as in-patients, home treatment teams and community mental health teams.
  • Work in a supportive, friendly and forward-thinking environment and participate in the weekend and bank holiday rota, following a period of induction and training.
  • Contribute to the advancement of pharmacy practice and the embedding of effective medicines optimisation systems into patient care.
  • Support the delivery of safe and effective use of medicines for patients within physical and mental health services.
  • Participate in weekend duty and on-call rotas as required after induction and training.
Qualifications and requirements
  • Demonstrate a person-centred approach and have effective interpersonal and organisational skills.
  • Previous NHS hospital pharmacy experience, including mental health, would be desirable.
  • Willingness to participate in weekend and bank holiday rotas after induction and training.
