A healthcare provider in Greater London is looking for an experienced Medicines Information, Formulary and Clinical Trials Pharmacist to manage the Trust's Medicines Formulary and lead clinical trials. The role requires strong organizational skills, professional registration, and experience in hospital pharmacy. This position offers a salary range of £64,156 to £71,148 per year, and you will drive improvements and support staff development within a collaborative environment.
This is an exciting and unique opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic pharmacist to join our Medicines Use Support Team and drive our Medicines Information, Formulary and Clinical Trials services forward.
In this role, you will play a central role in managing the Trust Medicines Formulary, coordinating the Drug & Therapeutics Committee business and agenda, and providing high-level, evidence-based medicines evaluation and advice to patients, healthcare professionals and trust/regional groups. You will also oversee and support the delivery of clinical trials of investigational medicinal products (CTIMP) and manage the Medicines Information Service.
This post is ideally suited to a dynamic pharmacist with strong organisational and interpersonal skills, a proactive and solution-focused approach, and a desire to develop their leadership capabilities while influencing practice and driving service improvement and change.
You will be part of a supportive team that works closely with other pharmacy and multi-disciplinary teams across the Trust and wider region. This collaboration will be key for your successful journey at Whittington Health.
Our ICARE values are embedded in how we deliver care to our patients and support our staff. We are committed to continuous development and will support you to develop your skills, advance your professional practice, and play a key role in delivering safe, effective and innovative care at the Whittington.
Whittington Health serves a richly diverse population and works hard to ensure that all our services are fair and equally accessible to everyone. Nowhere is this more obvious than in the way we look after our staff. We aim to employ a workforce which is as representative as possible of this population, so we are open to the value of differences in age, disability, gender, marital status, pregnancy and maternity, race, sexual orientation, and religion or belief. The Trust believes that as a public sector organisation we have an obligation to have recruitment, training, promotion and other formal employment policies and procedures that are sensitive to these differences. We think that by doing so, we are better able to treat our patients as well as being a better place to work.
For a full description of the main responsibilities, please see the attached Job Description and personal Specification.
