Job summary

An NHS community trust in Bodmin is seeking a Medical Staffing Assistant to provide comprehensive administrative support to managers and staff. Medical Staffing Assistant

We have an exciting opportunity for a Medical Staffing Assistant to join our team.

In this role you will provide a full and comprehensive administrative support to managers and staff within the Medical Directorate and assist with the administration of the Medical Staffing Department within Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation Trust.

This post will provide support on medical administration issues with responsibility for a wide range of tasks and systems and will provide information and advice. You will also undertake the operational recruitment of Medical Staff for the Trust.

You will need to have an organised and methodical manner, whilst managing competing demands on your time, as you will be the first point of contact for all queries and requests into the department relating to medical administration.

Main duties of the job

  • Support the recruitment process for Medical staff
  • Be the initial point of contact for medical staff with queries, on such matters as terms and conditions of service, policies, employment legislation.
  • Manage the rostering solution for Resident Doctors to ensure current rotas are correct.
  • Participate in the planning and delivery of complex work streams within agreed specifications, timelines and budgets.
  • To have knowledge and understanding of National Terms & Conditions for Medical & Dental Staff. To prepare Work Schedules, determine starting salaries, leave entitlement and other terms and conditions for junior staff in line with 2016 Junior Doctor Terms and Conditions and ensure adherence to the timelines set out in the Code of Practice
  • To oversee the management of leave for all Medical Staff
