A leading healthcare provider in Wirral is seeking an experienced Medical Secretary for the Breast department. This position, based at Clatterbridge Hospital, is a 9-month fixed term role with 21 hours per week. The ideal candidate will have an AMSPAR Medical Secretarial Diploma, excellent IT skills, and experience in a medical environment. You will manage office systems and support clinical activities while maintaining professionalism under pressure.

This position requires good communication skills, the ability to meet the demands of working in a busy environment and be able to represent the department with due professionalism.

You will be responsible for implementing and managing systems for the office/team workload, ensuring work is completed within strict timescales. Administratively supporting clinical & non-clinical activities.
You will need to exercise your judgement and initiative based on experience and knowledge of arising problems and take appropriate action to resolve situations, including follow up of investigation results, ensuring that all results are presented to medical staff and subsequently actioned/filed into patients medical records.
You will have the ability to work under pressure, prioritise your workload and to deal with confidential and sensitive issues in a professional manner.
