Overview

The Welsh Blood Service (WBS) has a post for a Medical Laboratory Assistant (MLA) based in the Manufacturing & Distribution department at the Talbot Green base. The post offers the successful candidate an exciting opportunity to work at the Welsh Blood Service and we welcome candidates with a keen interest in laboratory-based employment.

Responsibilities
  • The post holder will perform a variety of routine and specialist technical tasks which will include the production of blood components suitable for transfusion.
  • The successful applicants will work at a level to ensure that all processes meet the requirements of the UK Guidelines for Blood Transfusion and the EU Directive as inspected by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA).
