A leading healthcare provider in the UK is looking for a Medical Education Undergraduate Fellow to support undergraduate medical training. The role involves teaching, educational research, and maintaining clinical practice. Candidates must have a medical degree and full GMC registration. This is a full-time position with the potential for teaching and project management opportunities.
We have an exciting opportunity to join KMPT as a Medical Education Undergraduate Fellow, Trust Grade ST4-ST7 doctor. This is a full-time post, 40 hours per week, with an option to join the Tier 2 on-call rota for section 12 approval holders. Part-time applications will also be considered. The post is available with immediate effect up until 4th August 2026. The post holder may be required to attend meetings, teaching sessions and events at various locations in Kent; the base of the post can be flexible to suit the appointed candidate.
This Medical Education Fellow post is hosted by Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT). The fellowship supports Undergraduate workstreams concerning Medical Student Psychiatry Placements linked to the Medical Schools: King\'s College London School of Medicine (GKT) and Kent and Medway Medical School (KMMS).
Funding for a Postgraduate Qualification in Education will be available to the appointed candidate during the year.
This post is designed to support ST4-7s who wish to commit to education as part of their career. The "out of programme experience" (OOPE) post, based at Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust, is aimed at those who wish to build on teaching experience, develop expertise in educational theory and practice, and undertake supervised educational research. The post holder will have a designated educational mentor who will oversee development as an educator and coordinate opportunities for personal development. A customised programme of training and educational experience will be designed around the needs of the individual. Hands-on teaching will be central, with critical engagement on educational issues around undergraduate and postgraduate training in a changing context, both nationally and locally.
