A major teaching hospital in Greater London is seeking a Medical Education Fellow to enhance their educational experience and develop expertise in educational theory and practice through a fixed-term, full-time role. The fellow will work closely with established teams, engaging in simulation training and educating others, while also contributing to their ongoing professional development. This role offers an annual salary of £65,048 and is tailored for those with a commitment to advancing medical education.

This post is designed to provide a wide range of educational experience for SpRs/StRs who wish to make a commitment to education as part of their career. This is a twelve month 'out of programme' (OOPE) post aimed at those who wish to build on their personal teaching experience to develop expertise in educational theory and practice, and undertake supervised educational research.
Clinical responsibilities will be dependant on the post holder's clinical experience and will be tailored to that individual.

The Trust provides a full range of local hospital services across its different sites, and specialist services from King's College Hospital (KCH) sites at Denmark Hill in Camberwell and at Princess Royal University Hospital (PRUH) site in Bromley.
When working within the centre, the post holder will be expected to contribute to the running of the centre on a day-to-day level working closely with the established PGMDE team. They will be expected to develop the capability to work without supervision in simulation but will be fully supported as they develop this skill. They will be expected to develop an understanding of all modes of simulation including human factors.
This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
