To assist the Clinical Dean and the Phase II Lead for Hull York Medical School (HYMS) in the successful delivery of the undergraduate medical education model at Friarage Hospital Northallerton (FHN). This will encompass supporting with general administration duties, co‑ordination of timetables for the medical school, ensuring processes and practices are aligned to those of the undergraduate and postgraduate medical education departments.

The post holder will work very closely with the medical education team based at James Cook University Hospital (JCUH) and will be required to work across sites (Friarage and James Cook Hospitals) to support the medical education function.

Main duties of the job

The core function of this post is to support the Clinical Dean and Phase II Lead in the successful delivery of the undergraduate medical education model at FHN. The post holder will need to co‑ordinate and timetable curriculum, placements and residences, with the Phase II Lead, Clinical Teaching Fellow and Clinical Lecturer. The post holder must have a collaborative and innovative mind‑set. The post holder will be required to offer pastoral support to all student and trainee groups. The post holder will be required meet the travel requirements of the post and be able to travel to other Trust sites and education establishments as required.
