A reputable medical practice in Brampton is seeking a Medical Administrator to join their administration team. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and experience in medical secretarial duties. Responsibilities include managing patient records, handling communications, and providing efficient administrative support to healthcare professionals. Candidates should be self-motivated and familiar with EMIS software. This role offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.
We are looking for a candidate to work 37.5 Hours per weekto work within our Medical Administration Team, based at our main site in Brampton.
Applicants will need to have a keen eye for detail, ability to work to process, complete work efficiently and within KPIs, possess a good telephone manor, have good communication skills, and be a team player who can also work well independently.
Toprovide a comprehensive administrative and secretarial service to Doctors,Health Professionals and other staff at the Practice. input ofdata from clinical correspondence into electronic patient notes, and administerthe practice patient call and recall systems. In all cases to work strictly inaccordance with the appropriate Practice protocols.
We are a semi-rural dispensing and training practice led by 6 dedicated GP Partners, Business Manager and Senior Management Team serving a population of around 16'700 patients
We operate over 4 sites, 2 of which are based in Brampton, 1 at Wetheral and 1 at Corby Hill
To provide an efficient typing and word processing service for GPs and Health Professionals as required. This includes the typing of letters, reports, patient referrals, minutes etc in an accurate and quality manner.
To exchange information with patients and staff with regard to appointments, bookings and admissions as required.
To liaise and arrange meetings as required and to attend meetings and take minutes where applicable.
To manage the NHS e-referral service supporting the GPs to use it effectively. This includes use of any additional national or local referral management systems and policies.
To process and store patient information using established filing and administrative systems ensuring that written or computer information is easily accessible and secure.
To receive incoming and initiate outgoing telephone calls and other forms of electronic communication to facilitate timely and appropriate communications with others, taking messages and dealing with appropriate queries.
To process SAR and other requests for medical records, including requests received through IGPR.
To maintain the computerised medical records in an accurate and secure manner.
To assist with the gathering of statistics and information when required.
To Code all clinical information onto the practice clinical system (EMIS).
Monitoring and supporting patient call and recall systems
Filing, scanning and retrieving paperwork
Scanning of letters and relevant correspondence into patients notes.
Set up and run of clinical searches
Coding information into the Practice clinical system
Summarisation of incoming patient medical record notes
Processing and distributing incoming (and outgoing) mail
