Joining our Retail Media team, you’ll work with world class and passionate people to support with the evolution of our Media capabilities, processes and systems. Your primary goals will be managing delivery of change to our core Media booking and campaign management applications, along with developing our ad serving and measurement capabilities. You will work with internal, external and partner teams, to drive clear roadmaps, delivered effectively with clear strategy and communications to leadership.

As a Transformation Manager within the Tesco Retail Media team, you’ll focus on delivering complex, crossfunctional initiatives that are key to the success of our long term strategy.
From digital transformation to operational excellence you’ll implement measurable, sustainable solutions driving value and our ability to scale.

In this role, you will lead programs that support and help serve out colleagues and customers better.
We work collaboratively, influence Product, Engineering and business colleagues and lead the program to deliver value quickly and often.

WHAT I DO | Key responsibilities

Project & Programme Management:

  • Develop and maintain key documentation: briefs, PIDs, project/programme plans, and other required artifacts
  • Ensure scope, budget and timelines are managed appropriately
  • Act on opportunities to adopt trends and new concepts in programme and product delivery
  • Have good knowledge of System, Software and Data engineering and implementations best practices to appreciate delivery challenges
  • Understand technology concepts, grasp new ones quickly and appreciate their implications on delivery
  • Understand trade-offs in delivery, using experience and influencing skills to drive consensus with our Business, Technology and Engineering teams to obtain the best value and solution

Performance Measurement:

Establish and monitor key metrics to measure the impact of transformation initiatives. Regularly communicate progress, blockers and performance to all relevant stakeholders.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Build positive relationships with suppliers & external stakeholders to deliver software or professional services
  • Coach peers and other roles, teaching where required, on methodologies and program management tools and coach/mentor on leadership
  • Have influencing skill using documentation and presentations as tools to find alignment across different business domains

Risk Management:

  • Able to foresee potential risks and issues, establish a process, facilitate discussion, and manage escalations

Change Management:

  • Drive adoption across internal teams, clients, and suppliers through targeted communication, training, and engagement activities
  • Lead readiness assessments to ensure business areas are prepared for major changes, successful adoption, and new ways of working

Key Skills and Experience

An ideal candidate must have demonstrated below key skills in their current and past roles:

  • Media knowledge & experience
  • A knowledge of Agile methodology and a record of producing positive change in teams
  • A proven track record of delivery of complex business and technology programmes across multiple teams and influencing product, engineering, and business colleagues
  • Working effectively with and leading multidisciplinary teams and understanding how to contribute to all phases of the software development lifecycle.
  • Thinking at a conceptual level across several platforms
  • Have experience of building credible relationships and influencing senior engineering & management & leadership teams

The role will be based on Brook Green, London. Requiring a hybrid working pattern with a minimum of three days in office per week.
