A leading media company in Northern Ireland is seeking an AV Assistant to join their investment team. In this role, you will support the AV planning and buying process, engage in a thorough learning program, and work on live client projects from day one. Applicants should have a recent degree and a passion for media with strong analytical skills. This position offers hands-on experience, mentoring, and opportunities to develop your skills in a dynamic environment.
We're looking for keen and enthusiastic person who is looking to kick start their media career with us. You will join our investment team and will learn within the team for your first year with the company alongside your apprenticeship studying and projects. Your priority over the first few months will be to go on a thorough learning programme; including completing relevant industry qualifications, shadowing and theoretical learning from your manager and colleagues. Please note, a lot of your learning will be real-time, on the job learning, as you will be working on live client projects right from day one. The AV (audio visual) Assistant will support the Investment team on all aspects of the AV planning and buying process. The main duties will include booking TV/VOD (video on demand) campaigns on to relevant systems, updating VOD reports, TV airtime reports and top programme reports. An example activity would be VOD reporting: using industry tools to monitor delivery of campaigns across the likes of ITVX, C4 Streaming and Sky VOD. This means taking campaign data from supplier portals and compiling weekly reports that track delivery versus booked numbers. If any suppliers are under-performing, emails are sent to ensure these will deliver in full by the campaigns end date. Once the campaigns have ended, final delivery reports will be produced which include device splits (big screen, mobile/tablet and desktop viewing) alongside viewership numbers. You will be introduced to how to put campaigns on to the system alongside other admin tasks such as updating TV schedules and discussing any programming changes with the team. Outside of AV tasks, you will occasionally be asked to support the wider investment team on ad hoc tasks that enable you to get involved in audit and OOH (out of home) media. Over the first 12 months, you will gradually become more involved with project tasks to work on autonomously whilst learning additional skills and widening your workload. As well as having exposure on client calls and replying to client emails (with supervision, of course).
