You will troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues in a high-production environment. Role purpose
A Mechanical Shift Technician maintains operating equipment by repairing or replacing failed components, troubleshoots and repairs routine mechanical problems, conducts preventative maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment, documents work orders (WO’s/PM’s) using a computerised maintenance management system, supports Operations in equipment setup and adjustments to centerline operational output, participates on MSE teams, trains operators in Autonomous Maintenance activities, and conducts breakdown analysis.
Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is essential.
Education: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or certifications such as CMfgE, CMRT, or HVAC Certification.
Practical Experience: Apprenticeships, internships, or co-op programs in mechanical trades.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and mechanical systems.
Hands-On Approach: A self-driven attitude with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.
Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating on improvements.
