Compensation & Schedule

• Salary: £38,800 - £43,600 (inclusive of shift allowance), dependent on experience
• Performance related company bonus
• Shifts: Mon-Fri rotating shifts 6am-2pm and 2pm-10pm
• Employment: Permanent

Role purpose

A Mechanical Shift Technician maintains operating equipment by repairing or replacing failed components, troubleshoots and repairs routine mechanical problems, conducts preventative maintenance on manufacturing and packaging equipment, documents work orders (WO’s/PM’s) using a computerised maintenance management system, supports Operations in equipment setup and adjustments to centerline operational output, participates on MSE teams, trains operators in Autonomous Maintenance activities, and conducts breakdown analysis.

What are we looking for?

• Experience: Previous manufacturing experience is essential.

• Education: Associate Degree in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, or certifications such as CMfgE, CMRT, or HVAC Certification.

• Practical Experience: Apprenticeships, internships, or co-op programs in mechanical trades.

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in troubleshooting pneumatic, hydraulic, machining, and mechanical systems.

• Hands-On Approach: A self-driven attitude with the ability to prioritize workloads effectively.

• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively in teams, sharing insights and collaborating on improvements.
