Location: Sizewell, Leiston
Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days on site.

This hands‑on role involves the inspection, repair, and maintenance of mechanical systems, with a strong focus on pumps, valves, and general mechanical equipment across our facility.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems including pumps, valves, gearboxes, and rotating equipment.
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs to minimise downtime.
• Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance in line with schedules.
• Collaborate with other technicians and departments to ensure smooth operations.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental standards at all times.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical maintenance, ideally in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
• Strong knowledge of pump and valve systems.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering (preferred).
• Good problem‑solving skills and a proactive attitude.
• Willingness to work shifts or be on‑call as required.
