A leading independent forge company in the UK is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to join their team. The successful candidate will perform planned preventative maintenance, installation of new plant, and development of existing equipment. Candidates should have experience in a heavy forge environment and be apprentice trained, with a strong mechanical bias. Qualifications

  • Experience of break downs on presses, hammers, lathes, and borers is beneficial.

37.5 hours per week

Are you a Maintenance Engineer? Have you previously worked in a heavy forge environment? Do you want to work for one of the UK’s leading independent aerospace and industrial forgers?

Company Overview

Independent Forgings and Alloys (IFA) have an exciting opportunity to join their Maintenance Engineering team as a Maintenance Fitter. The role is working Monday to Friday on working on rotating 2 shift pattern Monday to Friday - 6am-1.30pm and 12-7.30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Planned Preventative Maintenance tasks.
  • Installation of new plant.
  • Planning mechanical maintenance tasks for completion during the shutdown.
  • Development and upgrading of existing equipment.
  • Good knowledge of safety and permit to work systems.
Qualifications

We would like you to be an apprentice trained Maintenance Engineer who is mechanically bias. You must have experience in a heavy forge environment coupled with good working knowledge of hydraulics, and mobile plant maintenance skills (manipulator, FLT and OHC). Experience of break downs on presses, hammers, lathes and borers would also be beneficial, however not essential.
