JOB DESCRIPTION

Wood is looking to hire a Mechanical Fitter for Lindsey Oil Refinery, Immingham. Are you a mechanical fitter, local to Immingham, looking for an opportunity to work for a reputable client in the Humberside Area who offers work on a 9-day fortnight? If so, this job may be the role for you.

Key aims and objectives
  • To perform all required discipline tasks safely, consistently, and in accordance with project requirements, procedures, and specifications.
  • To deliver a high-quality, consistent, and competent plating construction service in accordance with project and company standards and procedures.
  • To support the overall delivery of company goals and schedule.
  • To ensure all work scopes are completed safely, with no detrimental impact to personnel, fabric, or the environment.
Responsibilities
  • Read, understand, and implement all applicable company and project policies, working practices, and procedures, ensuring that all plating/structural work is completed safely and to a high standard.
  • Follow the schedule communicated by the supervisor.
  • Complete all work scopes in accordance with applicable workpack/job card instructions, procedures, and drawings/sketches.
  • Provide support to other trades/disciplines as required or work as part of an integrated multi-discipline team.
  • Apply for relevant permits to work (PTW) to complete work safely and in a controlled manner.
  • Undertake appropriate Risk Assessments (RA) to ensure safe and controlled completion of work.
