Lead Mechanical Engineer – Equipment Packaging (Contract)

Location: Glasgow (Hybrid – 3 days on-site, 2 days remote)

Rate: £50 per hour

Contract: Outside IR35

Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer with strong leadership skills and expertise in rotating equipment? We have an exciting contract opportunity for a seasoned professional to take the technical lead on complex engineering projects.

The Role

As Lead Mechanical Engineer, you’ll be responsible for specialist design aspects of rotating package equipment, supporting product development and providing technical leadership across the full project lifecycle. You’ll mentor engineers, drive standardization, and ensure projects are delivered on time and to the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead technical design and provide engineering support from concept through delivery.
