We are on the lookout for a Mechanical Engineer based in Farnborough to join an innovative team. This role is vital for maintaining our high standards and ensuring our clients receive exceptional service.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance to meet contractual requirements.
- Maintain all assets in line with O&M manuals, industry standards, and best practice.
- Manage and supervise contractors, ensuring statutory compliance at all times.
- Respond to reactive works via a CAFM system, ensuring timely completion within SLAs.
- Maintain building fabric elements and carry out reactive repairs within agreed timescales.
- Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety legislation, including fire regulations, COSHH, PPE, and safe working practices.
- Keep plant rooms, service areas, and enclosures clean, safe, and secure.
- Support colleagues across the team and undertake ad-hoc duties when required.
- Join the on-call rota (1 in 6 weeks on average), with standby allowance and paid callouts.
Candidate Profile
- Time-served apprenticeship or NVQ qualification in a mechanical discipline.
- Working knowledge of air handling units and building services systems.
- Skilled in fault-finding, maintenance, and installations.
- Flexible, adaptable, and physically fit, with the ability to carry tools/equipment up to 20kg and work at height (including MEWP).
- Strong IT skills with the ability to update records via PDA/CAFM systems.
- Excellent customer service skills and professional presentation.
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and statutory building compliance.
- Full UK driving licence required.
Working Hours
- Normal hours (off call): Monday-Friday, 07:00-16:00
- On-call hours: Friday-Thursday, 09:00-18:00
