Full job description: Company Overview: Are you looking for a new engineering challenge? If you’re a Mechanical Engineer looking for a new challenge, you are a positive person, pro-active in what you do, and be able to problem solve. Working in a small business, we are looking for someone with a can-do attitude who is prepared to build on their existing knowledge. Ideally experience gained in a mechanical and/or production engineering environment, with a desire to learn and adapt within the specialised sector of fluid power. Join a mature company in an established industry - an excellent place to learn additional skills and technical competence. Primarily office based with some travel to sites in the southeast, in time you will be running your own projects from start to finish. No day is the same - you will be involved in projects large and small aswell as supporting customers and colleagues on technical and product queries, ensuring products and systems fit the scope and are fit for purpose, therefore a keen eye for detail is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Running projects from start to completion
  • Designing (using Solidworks optional)
  • Quoting projects
  • Drafting risk assessments and method statements from in house templates
  • Managing subcontractors & supply chain
  • Maintaining and developing customer relationships
  • Managing project budget
  • Attending client sites & meetings as required to carry out site surveys and to generate work scopes
Skills and Qualifications
  • Mechanical or relevant qualification and experience
  • Solidworks design experience, preferred but not essential
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Hydraulic knowledge desirable
  • Managerial/supervisory experience desirable
  • Ability to prioritise workload
  • Full UK Driving License
Salary and Benefits
  • Salary will be based on knowledge and experience
  • Pay: £32,000.00-£42,000.00 per year
  • Starting Salary £25,512 per annum, with opportunity for progression to £27,372
  • Benefits: Company pension, Free parking, Health & wellbeing programme, On-site parking
