Mechanical Design Engineer

Location: South Yorkshire

Contract Duration: 3–6 months, Outside IR35

Rate: GBP37.50p/h – GBP40.00p/h

Industries: Nuclear / Mining / Industrial / Materials Handling / Fabrication

We are recruiting for a well-established leader in design within materials handling and fabrication. Due to ongoing projects, they are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer on an interim basis. The initial contract is for 3 months, with a high likelihood of extension based on project scope.

Responsibilities:

• 3D design and detailing using Autodesk Inventor
• Supporting calculations within the design team
• Design of heavy to medium industrial machinery
• Reporting to the design team lead and project manager

Candidate Attributes:

• Strong understanding of materials handling and heavy engineering
• Proficient in Autodesk Inventor
• Professional with the ability to excel in a team environment
• Degree qualified in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent (preferred)
• Team player committed to excellence
