Mechanical Design Engineer

Salary: £45,000 to £50,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Thursday 7.00 AM to 4.00 PM and Friday 7.00 AM to 1.00 PM

Duration: Permanent position for the right candidate

Mechanical Design Engineer,

Responsibilities

1. Designing concept and production 3D-CAD models of various products within the food and clean room sector using SolidWorks.
2. Generating detailed production and assembly drawings.
3. Undertaking hand calculations to support initial design development stages.
4. Providing necessary engineering support to the production department and providing creative solutions to the problems.
5. Developing documents and Test Reports.
6. You will be responsible for the product development process and will be required to liaise with suppliers/customers throughout the project.

Qualifications

1. Applicants must have a Degree in Design or Engineering.
2. Experience in designing complex assemblies and parts.
3. Experience in producing technical drawings in a design role.
4. Experience in generating welding documentation for applicable standards and mechanical testing procedures is important.
