Job Title: Mechanical Design Engineer
Location: King’s Lynn
Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum

Our client, a leading manufacturer based in King’s Lynn, is looking for a skilled Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a company working on exciting machinery and structural projects across the food and beverage industry.

Role Overview

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be responsible for creating innovative and practical engineering solutions. You’ll work closely with production, sales, and project teams, taking concepts from initial idea through to manufacture – ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Produce 3D models and detailed drawings using SolidWorks
  • Collaborate with production, sales, and project teams to deliver tailored solutions
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements
  • Provide technical support during manufacturing and installation
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and systems
About You
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks is essential
  • Background in designing machinery, conveyors, process equipment, or packaging machines for the food and beverage sector highly desirable
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Able to work independently and within a team environment
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
