Job summary

A dynamic engineering company is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer in Guildford to focus on the design of structures for propulsion systems. The ideal candidate should possess a degree in Mechanical Engineering, be proficient in SolidWorks, and preferably have experience within the space and defence sectors. The role involves 3D modelling, creating Bills of Materials, and writing technical documentation. This is a contract position offering GBP 45.00 per hour, and candidates must hold or be eligible for SC level clearance.

Responsibilities

The Role – Mechanical Design Engineer

We have an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join a successful Advanced Engineering business.

You will focus on the engineering design of structures and sub-assemblies used in propulsion systems.

Duties – Mechanical Design Engineer

• 3D modelling and design of components and systems
• Completion of manufacturing drawings
• Implementing design changes via Engineering Change Notices
• Writing detailed assembly procedures and technical build information
