K.A.G. Recruitment is supporting a well-established Design and Manufacturing company in Wolverhampton to recruit a Mechanical Design Engineer. This role involves project design from customer specifications to completion, contributing to the company's growth and team development.

Hours of Work:

Monday to Thursday – 8am to 4pm, Friday 8am to 1pm

Main Duties & Responsibilities

• Assess and review customer requirements, providing technical support for sales.
• Design projects to meet customer specifications, ensuring effective solutions.
• Create bill of materials.
• Support procurement activities with technical input.
• Assist manufacturing throughout the build and completion process.
• Contribute to standard product design improvements.

Knowledge & Experience

This role suits an organized, proactive, and self-motivated individual with a systematic approach to design and documentation. Candidates should ideally have:

• HNC level education in a Mechanical related discipline.
• Broad experience in Design and Drafting, including 2D and 3D CAD (SOLIDWORKS).
• Experience with Agricultural, Mining equipment, commercial vehicles, or waste handling machinery is highly advantageous.
• Proficiency with PC office software.
• Ability to meet tight project deadlines.
