Job description

Our client based in the Fareham area is looking to recruit a Mechanical Assembler to join their team to build and assemble masts according to bill of material instructions and supporting technical drawings. Hours: Monday – Thursday 6.00am – 4.00pm

Key Responsibilities
  • To build and assemble masts according to Bill of Material instructions and supporting technical drawings
  • Measure and mark out positions for fittings and fixtures
  • Measure and mark out positions for any necessary routering, cutting, drilling, riveting etc
  • Fit, assemble, and secure all parts according to BOM using a range of hand and power tools
  • Raise any issues that conflict with BOM instructions
  • Join Mast sections where required
  • Undertake rigging where necessary
  • Check own work and others
  • Maintain attention to detail and quality
  • Assist with stock take
  • Health and safety in the workplace compliance and awareness
