Experienced Plant Mechanic - South Lanarkshire

Are you a skilled mechanic with experience in construction machinery? We're looking for a Plant Mechanic to join our client's team in Carnwath, helping to maintain our expanding fleet of vehicles and construction plant used throughout the UK.

About the Role

Working from their Carnwath depot, with occasional travel to sites, you'll be part of a dedicated team responsible for the servicing, repair, and inspection of a wide range of plant and vehicles. This includes:

  • Telehandlers
  • MEWPs
  • Mobile cranes
  • Trombone and standard lorry trailers
  • Various other construction machinery

You will be ensuring all equipment is maintained in line with manufacturer requirements, keeping our operations running safely and smoothly.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out regular servicing, repairs, and inspections
  • Diagnose and repair faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Read diagnostic codes and perform timing belt replacements
  • Order parts and materials as required
  • Work both in the workshop and on-site when needed
