Overview

CER Education are pleased to be recruiting for a Maths Teacher for a secondary school based in Wrexham. The position will be across Key Stages 3 and 4. It is a full-time opportunity and will commence September 2025 to cover a maternity leave post. The successful candidate must be fully qualified to teach within a Secondary environment; experience of teaching KS5 Maths is not essential but would be an advantage. This is a temporary role which will continue for the full academic year.

Responsibilities

• Be a well-qualified Maths teacher with a record of delivering good and outstanding lessons
• Have a good understanding of what a great education can make to pupils
• Have evidence of supporting students to make beyond expected progress
• Have an excellent record of forging positive relationships with students to encourage great learning

Requirements / Qualifications

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status QTS or be a Newly Qualified Teacher (NQT)
• Have a genuine desire to become part of a committed professional team of Secondary teachers
• Having a passion for teaching with the ability to plan and deliver inspiring lessons
• Have an enhanced DBS (child workforce only) on the update service or be in a position to apply for one
