Job description
Overview

Maths Teacher - PRU (Pupil Referral Unit) - Start after October Half-Term. Location: Harrow.

Qualified Maths Teacher with experience supporting disengaged learners in PRU/SEMH settings is required to deliver Maths to KS3-4 in small groups. You should have strong classroom management, be able to differentiate lessons to meet individual needs (many students may have EHCPs) and adopt a trauma-informed approach. You will be supported by experienced behaviour mentors in class and contribute to a functional curriculum focused on engagement and progress.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver Maths to small groups of KS3 and KS4 students within a PRU environment.
  • Differentiate instruction to meet individual needs and adapt for learners with SEMH and EHCPs.
  • Maintain strong classroom management and establish a positive, trauma-informed learning environment.
  • Collaborate with behaviour mentors to support student progress and engagement.
  • Contribute to delivering a functional, engagement-focused curriculum aimed at progress.
Qualifications
  • UK QTS or QTLS required.
  • Experience working in a PRU or SEMH setting preferred.
  • Ability to teach Maths to KS3-4, in small groups.
