Job summary

Qualifications

  • Registered Midwife with Current NMC Registration.
  • Degree level education.
  • Practising midwife for a minimum of 5 years.
  • Experience of participation in maternity manager on call rota.

Responsibilities

  • Support the review of incidents, MNSI data, and other maternity incidents.
  • Monitor incidents and present key performance indicators.
  • Participate in the maternity manager on call rota.

Skills

Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal relationship skills
Understanding of risk management and governance agenda
Excellent presentation skills
Knowledge of clinical governance and external review processes

Education

Registered Midwife with Current NMC Registration
Degree level education
Masters or equivalent experience
Evidence of continuous professional development

Tools

Incident reporting systems (e.g., Datix/Safeguard)
