A leading recruitment agency is seeking an experienced Material Planner for a 9-month temporary role in Peterborough. Your main responsibilities include managing materials plans, conducting supply and demand reviews, and ensuring timely product availability through effective communication with various teams. Applicants should have 3-5 years of experience in materials planning or related fields and have strong skills in utilizing planning systems and tools. This is a hybrid position with 37.5 hours per week.
We have a requirement for an experienced Material Planner to work on a 9 month temporary basis for our Engineering and Manufacturing client based in Peterborough.
You will use the materials planning system to manage supply and demand plans, taking long‑term corrective action on exception messages and other alerts based on root cause analysis; occasionally referring to adhoc tools such as Excel, Access, TOAD, OMS, etc. to perform problem solving, while leveraging the materials planning system as the primary tool in day‑to‑day operations.
It is essential that you have significant relevant work experience or specialised skills obtained through education, training, or on‑the‑job experience in an equivalent field such as materials planning, production scheduling, manufacturing, or inventory control with 3‑5 years of relevant work experience required.
You will be working 37.5 hours per week and this will be a hybrid role with some home working.
