Position Details

Position: Material Handler – Boxing Room Operative
Location: Cramlington
Contract Type: Temporary (12 months)
Hourly Rate: £12.65
Working Pattern: Full‑Time

Key Responsibilities
  • Pack finished products accurately into cartons, boxes, or containers in line with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Verify product counts, batch numbers, and labels for utmost accuracy.
  • Apply labels, seals, and necessary documentation correctly.
  • Conduct inspections on products and packaging materials for any defects or damage.
  • Keep the boxing/packaging area clean and organised.
  • Adhere to safety, quality, and compliance requirements (e.g., GMP, OSHA, EHS).
  • Record production data, counts, and discrepancies as required.
  • Collaborate effectively with production, quality, and warehouse teams.
  • Assist with palletising and preparing shipments for transport.
  • Promptly report equipment issues, product defects, or process deviations.
Qualifications
  • Previous experience in packaging, manufacturing, or warehouse operations preferred.
