A local authority in the UK is seeking a qualified social worker to join their Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). The role involves facilitating decision-making for safeguarding concerns and managing the operational effectiveness of the service. Candidates should have a Social Work England registration and experience in a fast-paced environment. This position offers several benefits including flexible working and a generous holiday allowance. Join us in making a difference in the lives of children and families in Oxfordshire.
The Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub is our 'front door' to children's social care and receives all safeguarding referrals for children in Oxfordshire. With the help of our partner agencies, we quickly identify risks to vulnerable children and provide a safe and timely response to decide the most effective interventions.
To undertake and/or facilitate decision-making as to the most appropriate response to a safeguarding concern for a child – i.e. strategy discussion or assessment by Children’s Social Care, Early Help, LCSS or signposting to another agency.
This is a key safeguarding role and therefore you need to be a qualified social worker with Social Work England registration and have relevant previous experience. The MASH is a busy, fast-paced environment, and so you need the ability to work under pressure in a busy duty and response environment. Previous experience in a MASH team is desirable but not essential.
