Overview

Marketing & Communications Senior Associate

This role is an exciting opportunity to put your experience and skills in marketing and communications into practice in a supportive and fun environment. You will help drive the scale and impact of our work by shaping our marketing and communications.

You will plan and deliver a data-driven, multi-channel, multi-audience marketing strategy. You will spot and create opportunities to raise awareness of the work we do. With a laser focus, you will continually optimise our digital marketing through different campaigns and channels as well as SEO. This will require strong technical skills and a desire to continually learn. You will help make the Skills Builder approach the default across sectors.

You will be able to write persuasively and collaborate with partners to create outstanding content. You’ll be a fast learner, able to adopt and build on our voice and messaging. To deliver on this, you’ll be highly organised, managing varied workflows to hit deadlines.

Key responsibilities
  1. Owning & delivering the marketing plan:
    • Shaping and delivering multi-channel plans for building awareness of the Skills Builder approach.
    • Segmenting our audiences and tailoring messaging and approach accordingly.
    • Developing compelling calls to action, creating leads and opportunities for our team to turn into new employer partnerships.
    • Working with other teams to advise on and refine their marketing plans and performance.
  2. Developing engaging content:
    • Distilling our research, insights, and case studies into compelling, persuasive copy and content to engage our audiences.
    • Leading the use of our social media tools to reach and persuade our key audiences.
    • Supporting other team members and leads to develop engaging content, maintaining an overview of activity across the organisation.
  3. Generating insights to improve:
    • Setting up and tracking the performance of campaigns and channels, using tools like Google Ads and GA4 in combination with social media.
    • Tracking and optimising metrics like SERP, impressions and engagement rates.
    • Using this data to generate insights, report to leadership and iterate campaigns to improve future success.
Benefits

Salary: £36,000 - £38,000.

Start Date: Flexible, but ideally as soon as possible.

Working hours: Flexible.

Travel: If based remotely, you have two “flexi” days each year, so you can expense travel to meet with others in your team.

Team days: we get together in person in London 6 times a year for collaborative strategy, fun and food.

Holidays: 25 days per year, plus bank holidays. This increases by one day each year up to 30 days and you can buy back up to 5 days to a total of 30.

Location: UK fully remote or London (hybrid working with 1+ days in the office per week, free fruit, tea and coffee, ‘pastry socials’ and £600 London weighting).
