A government agency in Holyhead is seeking individuals to operate within Rescue Coordination Centres. As the first point of contact, you will handle emergency and routine calls, coordinating responses and working closely with other Emergency Services. The role demands a commitment to strict operating procedures, with responsibilities including recording and maintaining incident logs. If you are looking for a role that makes a direct impact, this could be an ideal opportunity.
You will be operating through the phones, radios and various other systems in one of our Rescue Coordination Centres, so whilst you won’t be out at sea, that doesn’t make what you’re dealing with any less real.
You will be the first point of contact for people who need our help. This could range from a call that someone appears in distress in the waters and needs help, through to a ship that requires assistance, sometimes with life‑changing consequences to everything in between.
For further information on the role, please read the role profile. Please note that the role profile is for information purposes only - whilst all elements are relevant to the role, they may not all be assessed during the recruitment process. This job advert will detail exactly what will be assessed during the recruitment process. If you want to hear more from our Maritime Operations Officers click here.
