Position: Marine Technician - Boat Maintenance Technician

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced mechanic/technician to join the Le Boat team, playing a key role in preparing the boat yard for the season's arrivals.
You will be proficient in all boat operations and maintenance, including electrical and mechanical systems, and will perform boater training with customers before their departure.
What you will be doing
- Performing technical interventions on pumps, batteries, diesel engines, electrical, propane, and hydraulic connections.
- Installing electrical, HVAC, and mechanical equipment.
- Carrying out cosmetic fiberglass repairs (training provided).
- Maintaining the fleet to high standards of presentation and reliability.
- Following maintenance schedules as per manufacturer warranties.
- Managing inventory for parts supply.
- Instructing and educating clients during boat orientations and lock trail runs.
- Ensuring boat briefings and training leave customers confident.
- Traveling with company vehicles for emergency repairs and customer support (out-of-hours support included).
- Handling hauling/launching, commissioning, and de-commissioning of the fleet.
- Operating the gas dock, including watering, fueling, and pumping out tanks.
- Ensuring boats are in pristine condition for turnaround.
- Supporting customers with technical assistance, breakdowns, and information during their cruise.
What we are looking for:
Skills, experience, knowledge, qualifications, and training
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Tech, ideally in marine, boating, or automotive industries.
- Experience in general maintenance, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, or handyman repair.
- Ability to read specifications and installation instructions.
- Excellent interpersonal skills for building relationships and delivering customer service.
- Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
- Fluency in English.
- Driving license required.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Availability to work on weekends during the season (April - October).
- References satisfactory for employment.
Highly desirable and advantageous:
- Knowledge of marine diesel vessels, especially Nanni motors.
- Marine college certification or equivalent.
- Additional language skills (Dutch, German, French) are a plus.
- Passion for boating and relevant experience on boats.
