A leading defense technology company in Glasgow is seeking a Manufacturing Technician for a permanent or 12-month FTC role. The technician will perform mechanical, wiring, and test manufacturing tasks. Ideal candidates have experience in building mechanical assemblies and a good understanding of engineering drawings. The role offers a flexible four-day workweek and includes on-site parking and canteen facilities.
Location: Glasgow, United Kingdom. Manufacturing Technicians - Naval - Wiring, Mechanical, Test. Role: FTC (12 months) / Permanent. Hours: 4 day week (Monday-Thursday) / 37 hours per week. The role is with the Optronics and Missile Electronics (OME) department in Glasgow; you will work with the team, Work Cell Manager and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver outputs from the relevant work cell in line with business requirements. The position involves mechanical, wiring and test manufacturing tasks, following engineering drawings to the required quality. The site is based at the Glasgow manufacturing site with a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday, 9.25 hours per day). Start time flexible between 6:00am and 7:30am; 30 minutes unpaid lunch. On-site parking and canteen available.
