Job Advert - Manufacturing Technician


Salary: 26,000 - 31,000 per annum
Location: Whitstable, Kent

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated Manufacturing Technician to join our Manufacturing Engineering team in Whitstable.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with practical experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment who is looking to develop their skills further.


You will play an active role in supporting product inspection, build validation, and issue resolution on the factory floor, while gaining exposure to customer and supplier quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:


  • Carry out product inspections, build validations, and complete FAIR documentation.

  • Support day-to-day factory issue resolution, investigating production and quality concerns.

  • Review engineering drawings, specifications, and quality standards to ensure compliance.

  • Assist in internal and external audits (ISO 9001 / AS9100).

  • Support continuous improvement and root cause investigations.


What We're Looking For:


  • BTEC / GCSE level or higher in an engineering or technical discipline (or equivalent experience).

  • Some hands-on experience in a manufacturing/engineering environment.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.

  • Methodical approach with strong attention to detail.

  • Team player with good communication and organisational skills.


Desirable:


  • Experience in electronics, cable/harness assembly, or connector-based manufacturing.

  • Knowledge of First Article Inspection (FAI) processes.

  • Familiarity with ERP/PDM systems and basic CAD.
