Manufacturing Team Lead – Cambridge, UK | Full-time | Permanent

We are seeking a hands-on Manufacturing Team Lead to join a fast-growing technology business at the forefront of robotics and advanced manufacturing. This is a unique opportunity to lead a small team while directly shaping production processes and scaling manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a small team of manufacturing technicians.
  • Take a hands-on role in assembly, testing, and refurbishment of systems.
  • Ensure safety standards, 5S, and robust work practices are followed.
  • Support production planning to deliver new builds and upgrades on time.
  • Collaborate with engineers to transfer new products into production.
  • Drive continuous improvement and introduce lean manufacturing practices.
  • Create and maintain documentation, including build instructions and skills matrices.
Qualifications
  • Post-18 study in engineering, operations management, or a related technical subject.
  • Proven supervisory or leadership experience within a manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on technical experience in assembly, build, or testing.
  • Demonstrated success in problem-solving and process improvement.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • A proactive, collaborative mindset with the ability to balance process with flexibility.
  • Full clean UK driving licence and eligibility to work in the UK.
