A global biopharma company in North East England seeks a Manufacturing Site Sustainability Lead. You will be responsible for implementing sustainability initiatives to align the site's operations with environmental goals such as net zero carbon emissions. The ideal candidate should have a background in environmental science or engineering and proven experience in sustainability within a manufacturing context. Manufacturing Site Sustainability Lead — As the Manufacturing Site Sustainability Lead, you will be responsible for driving and embedding sustainability strategies and initiatives across the site. You will play a pivotal role in aligning the site's operations with GSK's global sustainability goals, fostering a culture of environmental responsibility, and ensuring compliance with sustainability-related regulations and standards. This role requires close collaboration with cross-functional teams, site leadership, and external stakeholders to deliver measurable progress toward GSK's environmental goals, including net zero carbon emissions, water stewardship, waste reduction, and circular resource use.
We are looking for a candidate who is passionate about driving environmental sustainability within a manufacturing environment and has a proven track record of implementing successful sustainability initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a combination of technical expertise, operational experience, and leadership skills to align the site's activities with GSK's global sustainability goals. They should be a proactive problem-solver, a strong collaborator, and an effective communicator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels. The ideal candidate is a sustainability expert with manufacturing experience, a strong technical foundation, and the leadership skills to drive transformative environmental initiatives. They are passionate about sustainability, thrive in cross-functional collaboration, and are committed to building a culture of environmental responsibility. This person will be a key driver of GSK's mission to achieve net zero emissions and create a sustainable future for all.
