Job summary

A global engineering leader is seeking a Management Accountant to handle month-end reconciliations, support audits, and lead financial improvements. The ideal candidate should have manufacturing experience, strong ERP system knowledge, and must be ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified or part-qualified. The position offers a competitive salary of £53,000 to £58,000, flexible working hours, and benefits including 25 days annual leave and company pension contributions up to 8%. Hybrid working is available with 1-2 days remote per week.

Qualifications

  • Management Accountant experience in a manufacturing context required.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Excel is essential.
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA qualification or part qualification expected.

Responsibilities

  • Produce month end account reconciliations for profit and loss.
  • Support year end processes with auditors and tax advisors.
  • Work on long-term contract forecasts with project accountants.
  • Lead business process improvements and financial training.
  • Assist in the production of annual budgets and forecasts.
  • Reconcile employee expenses and petty cash monthly.
  • Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns.

Skills

Experience as a Management Accountant or similar in Manufacturing
Strong working experience with ERP systems (SAP preferable)
Skilled user of Microsoft programmes (Excel)

Education

ACA / ACCA / CIMA Qualified or part-qualified
