Job description
Responsibilities
  • Assist in the development and continuous improvement of vehicle assembly processes.
  • Create detailed process operation sheets, including visual aids, torque/tooling specifications, safety information, and quality requirements.
  • Collaborate with logistics and facilities teams to plan and optimise station layouts, including racking and part presentation.
  • Work closely with technicians during vehicle launch events to ensure proper use of tools, understanding of new processes, and achievement of quality standards.
  • Contribute to future manufacturing planning by exploring and applying Industry 4.0 technologies and digital manufacturing concepts.
  • Provide production support by investigating issues on the shopfloor and implementing timely solutions to maintain build quality.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings to represent Manufacturing Engineering and provide technical feedback.
  • Engage with health and safety teams to ensure all materials and processes comply with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with product engineering to communicate design-for-assembly improvements, enhancing ergonomics and build quality.
  • Manage individual engineering projects, coordinating input from various stakeholders to deliver outcomes on time and to specification.

We are looking for graduates with a strong foundation in Manufacturing, Automotive, or Aerospace Engineering, who are eager to apply their knowledge in a fast-paced environment. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills and a commitment to quality are essential. You should also be comfortable using Microsoft Office tools and willing to travel between our Gaydon and St Athan sites as required.

You will need to have a 2:1 degree in Engineering.

Be proficient in the use of Excel and PowerPoint. Have enthusiasm and motivation for working at Aston Martin Lagonda. Take accountability and have an analytical mindset to problem-solve issues by collaboratively working with different groups of people. Be able to work with others cross-functionally and communicate well across all levels.
