Are you an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong background in Lean methodologies, NPI, and electro-mechanical production? We're recruiting for a Manufacturing Engineer - Motions to join a high-specification, low-volume manufacturer operating within a precision engineering environment. Based in Sunbury-on-Thames, this role will suit someone with a hands-on mindset and the ability to drive process efficiency across engineering and operations teams.
This is a proactive, cross-functional position where you'll engage with design engineering, production, supply chain, and continuous improvement teams. Your main objective is to support both existing and new products through process development, Lean deployment, and data-driven improvements. You'll also help optimise routings, implement standard work, and lead layout or tooling changes in line with evolving business requirements.
The Manufacturing Engineer - Motions role requires a background in electro-mechanical manufacturing—ideally within aerospace, defence, automotive or other high-spec sectors—along with a solid grasp of MRP systems and root cause analysis techniques such as 5 Whys, 8D and PFMEA.
This Manufacturing Engineer Motions role offers the opportunity to shape and improve processes at a business invested in growth, Lean transformation, and high-integrity engineering. You'll play a key role in delivering right-first-time production, lower lead times, and improved operator engagement.
