Job summary

A community support organization in Salford is looking for a reliable Mandarin speaking Personal Assistant (PA) for an autistic child. The role involves providing 1:1 support during activities, ensuring the child's safety and emotional needs are met. Ideal candidates will be patient, flexible, and have good communication skills, with experience in supporting children with additional needs considered a plus. This is a part-time, permanent position with hourly pay of £12.60.

Qualifications

• Experience working with autistic children or children with additional needs is desirable.
• Genuine interest in working with children with additional needs.
• Training or knowledge in autism awareness is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support child to access activities and community-based sessions.
• Provide emotional reassurance and communicate with child effectively.
• Follow routines, boundaries, and behaviour support strategies.
