Job Summary

We seek a dynamic and experienced Manager Pre-Projects for the Project Center France Benelux and North Europe. In this role, you will drive and manage opportunities from customer requests to final negotiations. You run with your team together with the sales team the process to understand customer needs, create the quote, convey our solution, explain and defend the price build-up against value and participate in negotiation and contract finalization. The requests will cover small opportunities offering key components to big green field opportunities up to 100 m€. Your primary focus is to develop your team and to deliver the order income according to the budget for processing, packaging and integrated projects. You secure a well-assessed and mitigated risk exposure. This position can be based in Paris (FR), Utrecht (NL) or High Wycombe (UK).

What you will do

• Lead the team in delivering the Order Income target on an agreed pre-project budget and ensuring conditions for successful project execution.
• Drive productivity within the Project Centre by utilizing global processes and tools, and taking a leading role in their implementation.
• Implement and monitor Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for pre-project execution, including pipeline and portfolio reporting.
• Lead the local "Pre Projects" organization to fulfil the annual budget, ensuring the availability of required pre-project capabilities in all relevant categories and applications.
• Drive the availability of required capabilities in food safety, product safety, risk management, and environmental calculations and optimizations.
• Drive the availability of required capabilities to create value-adding solutions, build up cost calculation and performance guarantees.
• Ensure the availability of required capabilities in automation solutions and services for processing and packaging.
• Foster seamless and transparent cooperation between your team and central resources to achieve optimal results.

We believe you have

• Bachelor's degree in Food or Mechanical Engineering, or a related field. A master's degree is preferred.
• Proven experience in pre-project management, preferably in a complex industrial or engineering environment.
• 5-7 years of experience in people and projects/engineering management.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate a team.
• Proven track record in delivering pre-project or projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
