What you can expect to be doing

This role sits within the Finance Data and Controls team and supports the delivery of high‑quality financial data for reporting and control purposes. The successful candidate will work closely with stakeholders across HINV Finance and the wider business to help maintain data integrity, resolve issues, and support the implementation of robust control processes.

The role is suited to someone with a strong foundation in Finance, who has worked in a control, reporting, or data‑focused environment and is confident navigating complex data flows.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the implementation and maintenance of Finance data controls, ensuring alignment with Group policies and audit requirements.
  • Monitor and assess the completeness and accuracy of data flowing into Finance systems, including support for reconciliations and key reporting outputs.
  • Contribute to reviews of user‑developed tools and control assessments (e.g. CMAs), and elevate issues where needed.
  • Support Finance change initiatives by accessing data impacts of new products or system developments.
  • Assist with responses to audit and regulatory queries.
  • Build strong working relationships across Finance, Technology and Risk to resolve data issues and embed best practices.
  • Follow and apply Group policy, internal controls and compliance procedures across all data‑related activity.
  • Support control testing and ensure documentation is maintained and audit‑ready.
  • Stay aware of regulatory and operational changes that impact Finance data and controls.
Requirements
  • Background in finance or accounting, ideally with a relevant qualification.
  • Experience working in a Finance data, reconciliation or control‑focused role.
  • Experience working with financial data, controls, and reporting processes in a corporate or banking environment.
  • Strong analytical mindset, with the ability to work with large or complex data sets and understand their impact on Finance outputs.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage across teams and explain technical issues clearly.
  • Organised and detail‑focused, with a proactive approach to problem‑solving.
  • Interest in applying finance knowledge in a data‑led and control‑focused role.
Where you’ll be based

Our home office in Finsbury Square, London. We offer hybrid working to our employees, so you can flex between home and the office, with a current requirement to be in the office 2 days per week.
