Role context

We are recruiting financial risk transformation candidates into our growing Financial Crime, Risk, Regulation and Finance (FRRF) capability. Successful candidates will advise on risk frameworks and controls and deliver transformation across the Risk functions for our clients, in support of their Chief Risk Officers (CRO). This includes implementation of regulatory changes (e.g. Basel, IFRS9, BCBS-), delivery of data to support IRB and VaR modelling, and automation of risk controls, control gap assessment and control implementation.

Responsibilities
  • Advising on risk frameworks and controls and delivering transformation across the Risk functions of client organisations in support of CROs.
  • Implementation of regulatory changes (e.g. Basel, IFRS9, BCBS-), data delivery to support IRB and VaR modelling, and automation of risk controls, control gap assessment and control implementation.
  • Engage with clients to deliver Risk Management solutions including Risk Assessments, Target Operating Model design and implementation, Risk Rating Methodologies and Models, Gap Analysis, data and reporting.
  • Identify and implement technology and data solutions to support credit, operational, market, liquidity, and capital risk management processes.
  • Communicate risk policies and processes, develop risk models, ensure controls operate effectively, and provide research and analytical support.
  • Support Capco in client account planning, business development and relationship building within the Capco UK FRRF capability, contributing to Capco’s Risk Management thought leadership.
Skills and Expertise

The ideal candidate will have the following skills and experience and will be able to perform the following activities:

  • Good knowledge of regulatory requirements around Basel, IFRS9, BCBS- etc, with focus on credit, market, liquidity and capital risks.
  • Knowledge of relevant financial regulations and experience implementing regulatory change and working with regulators
  • Experience working in the risk and regulatory practices of a relevant financial services institution
  • Ability to evaluate the client’s current risk management processes (e.g., analyze potential impacts of key current and emerging risks, trends, reports, statistics, and relevant documentation)
  • Define and implement risk management process improvements and track benefit realisation
  • Facilitate risk conversations between different departments within organisations (e.g., client-facing businesses, credit risk, operational risk, legal, IT, finance, HR, and operations teams)
  • This will be coupled with strong change management experience and prior success, either as a management consultant or within a change role in a financial services institution.
  • Delivery as part of a long-term strategic partnership with clients, while developing within a forward-thinking and entrepreneurial business.
  • Proven expertise delivering change as Programme / Project Manager or Business Analyst.
  • Self-starter and strong team player.
  • Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an analytical mindset.
  • Demonstrable expertise in building and leveraging relationships.
  • Ability to face off to key stakeholders with strong credibility.
  • Ability to present to a wide range of stakeholders from AVP to senior MDs.

  • Strong bid management abilities, with a proven ability to mentor and train Consultants.
  • Drive thought leadership and client campaigns
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the sector, leveraging proven industry content and delivery capability.
