Management Accountant Responsibilities
  • Preparing comprehensive management accounts packs to support strategic decision-making and performance analysis.
  • Running the month-end project, ensuring all financial data is accurate, timely, and aligned with best practices.
  • Acting as a bridge between accounts payable processes and the financial controller, facilitating smooth financial operations.
  • Supporting the financial controller with ad hoc accounting tasks and financial reporting.
  • Analysing financial data to identify trends, optimise processes, and improve reporting accuracy.
  • Assisting with budget monitoring and variance analysis to help the business meet its financial objectives.
  • Contributing to process improvements to streamline management reporting and financial workflows.

Management Accountant Experience Essentials
  • Proven experience in management accounting, financial reporting, and month-end processes
  • Strong understanding of financial statements and management accounting practices
  • Experience with budgeting, variance analysis, and financial forecasting
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
  • Part or fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA) or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with financial software and Excel skills

Based in South Oxfordshire, the role offers hybrid working with three days in the office. The location is well-connected, with parking available. Due to the rural setting, you must have reliable access to a car for commuting and errands.
