Management Accountant | Liverpool | On-site Role| Bonus incentive

Axon Moore is delighted to be partnering with a privately owned group based in Liverpool to recruit a Management Accountant. This is a great opportunity for a driven and commercially minded accountant to join a forward‑thinking business and develop alongside its continued growth.

The Role

Reporting to the FD, the Management Accountant will deliver robust and insightful financial reporting to support strategic decision‑making.

  • Preparation of accurate monthly management accounts and performance analysis
  • Budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
  • Stock control and reconciliation
  • Process improvement and system enhancement, including the introduction of advanced reporting tools
  • Supporting the Financial Controller with statutory accounts, audits, and tax compliance
Key Responsibilities
  • Produce timely and accurate management accounts with commentary and key metrics
  • Lead budgeting and forecasting cycles
  • Ensure robust stock and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Partner with department heads to drive performance and cost efficiency
  • Streamline processes to enhance reporting and analysis
  • Support annual financial statements, audits, and statutory returns

  • Qualified accountant (CIMA/ACCA) - will also consider PQ
  • Technically strong with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong business partnering skills
  • Highly proficient in Excel and financial reporting tools
  • Organised, proactive, and able to balance multiple priorities
