A superb opportunity is available for an experienced Management Accountant to join a rapidly growing organisation based on the outskirts of Lancaster. With great commuter links from the M6, my client is growing by acquisition and has ambitious growth plans for the future.

As Management Accountant you will produce the quarterly VAT returns and various weekly management reports. The role will involve assisting the FC with the annual audit, tax return and other projects. Another key role as Management Accountant will assist the FC with identifying and recommending potential operational efficiencies and improvements to procedures, systems and reporting.

A summary of responsibilities will include :

• Process and submit quarterly VAT returns and machine games duty returns
• Assist the accounts team with any finance tasks as required
• Involvement in the production of annual budgets
• Develop and improve the company's finance systems, processes and reports
• Preparing and reviewing monthly management accounts within tight deadlines
• Preparation of accounting entries, G/L journals and accruals
• Variance analysis and commentary
• Production of various management reports
• Manage the cashbook (analysis and forecast).
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Reconcile van stock movement and prepare stock payment analysis.
• Process deferred income workings and post to Sage.
• Calculate and post hire fleet income to Sage.

You should be ACCA or CIMA qualified or part qualified (later stages preferred). Candidates should also be highly numerate, intermediate to expert level users of Microsoft Excel and have proven experience of working within a fast paced and high order volume environment.
