The role involves preparing monthly group reports, managing month-end processes, and providing financial insights. Ideal candidates will have strong analytical skills, proficient IT abilities, and experience with accounting software. This position offers a hybrid working model, emphasizing both accuracy and compliance in financial reporting.

Qualifications

  • Experience in preparing monthly reports and financial statements.
  • Ability to reconcile intercompany accounts and manage accruals.
  • Confident in using accounting software and spreadsheets.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly group reports and consolidated P&L and BS.
  • Reconcile intercompany and control accounts.
  • Manage month-end accruals and overhead reviews.
  • Produce departmental management accounts and daily sales reports.
  • Support budgeting and handle statistical reporting.
  • Produce VAT returns and maintain fixed asset register.

Skills

Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
Well organised with good time-management skills
Confident IT user with strong spreadsheet skills
Previous experience of SAGE, OPGL, Syspro and SAP

Job Title - UK Management Accountant

Location: Birmingham/Hybrid - Monday to Friday 8.30/4.30pm

Salary: GBP40k/GBP50k circa

Bridge Recruitment are looking for 2 Management Accountants to join a reputable Manufacturing company, helping deliver accurate monthly group reporting and maintaining strong financial controls across the business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly group reports and consolidated P&L and BS
  • Reconcile intercompany and control accounts
  • Manage month-end accruals and overhead reviews
  • Produce departmental management accounts and daily sales reports
  • Support budgeting, liaise with auditors and handle government/statistical reporting
  • Produce VAT returns, payroll journals, and maintain fixed asset register.
  • Authorise internet banking transactions
  • Support and develop junior team members
  • Complete ad hoc finance tasks as requiredUphold company values, ethics, and CSR commitments
Skills & Experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail
  • Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple priorities
  • Well organised with good time-management skills
  • Confident IT user with strong spreadsheet skills
  • Desirable but not essential previous experience of SAGE, OPGL, Syspro and SAP
