Major Main Contractor – Senior Project Manager

An amazing opportunity has arisen to join one of the most well-regarded Main Contractors in the U.K.

Typical project size: £5 – £30 million, with works in High End Residential, Educational, Health, and Commercial sectors, with some projects exceeding this range.

Key Skills:

• Experience in leading and developing a team
• Knowledge of budgets, costing, project forecasting, and control
• Understanding of contract documentation
• Excellent project and programme management skills
• Ability to resource projects effectively
• Strong prioritisation and planning skills

Commercial:

• Ensure contract administration procedures are followed and understand project requirements
• Contribute to risk and opportunity registers, including mitigation actions
• Manage site/project budgets, including P&L and constraints
• Develop and control project budgets, including profit, preliminaries, and procurement

Design:

• Interpret and analyse design information, suggest alternatives, and address inaccuracies
• Ensure timely delivery of design information

People:

• Develop and implement project delivery strategies
• Participate actively in developing customer and project solutions during tender stages

Supply Chain Management:

• Contribute to supply chain selection and performance management
• Define requirements for trade contractor packages regarding time, cost, and quality

Customers:

• Manage relationships with customers, project teams, tenants, and community representatives

Delivery:

• Develop and monitor detailed programmes and schedules
• Implement quality, health & safety, environmental, and waste management plans
• Secure resources for project delivery
• Support project handover and customer/end-user satisfaction
